CSIR NET 2022

Exam Pattern of CSIR NET mathematical science 2022

The paper consists of 3 parts-

Part-A This section consists of questions on General Aptitude, Reasoning, and Analysis. It has 20 questions and aspirants are required to attempt any 15. There will be a total of 30 marks given for this section with each question carrying 2 marks. For each wrong answer, there is a negative marking of 25%.

Part 2 - This section will contain questions related to the syllabus. It has 40 MCQs out of which 25 are required to be answered. The total marks for this section are 75 and the question carries 3 marks each. 25% negative marking for the wrong answer also applies to this section

Part 3 - This section contains questions to evaluate candidates’ understanding of scientific concepts/syllabus and their applications. The nature of questions in this section will be analytical, in which the candidates will be asked to apply their knowledge to solve the problem. This section also contains questions with multiple correct answers. The total marks for this section are 95 and any 20 questions out of 60 have to be answered. There is no negative marking in this section.
